You won’t believe how simple and FREE creating an authors website can be!

WebsiteBlogPostimage

In the past, an author’s personal website was the holy grail of finding information on our most beloved writers and storytellers. From book tours to correct reading order, to a mailing address where you could send fanatical letters and wail about the death of your favorite characters. Like a brick house we built with our bare hands, they were our personal spaces, our platforms through which we reached our readers. But, with the rise of blogging and social media, the authors website is slowly fading into antiquity. Or is it? Times are constantly changing and with it comes a flux of new technology and social platforms that overwrite the old. If you’re a millennial like me you no doubt witnessed the death of MySpace and the rise of Facebook and Twitter. But, who’s to say that in ten years these popular sites will still be around? Having a Facebook “like” page and a booming twitter account are fine, but in the case that Facebook nosedives at any time in the future, having your own platform that’s controlled solely by you may be your only saving grace. I can already hear you screaming at me, “But websites are expensive! I can’t afford that!” and “I don’t know how to code a website! I can’t be in control of something I know nothing about!” Relax friends and colleagues, I’m here to provide a comprehensive guide on building a simple website that you can operate without entirely on your own. Follow along and in three simple steps, you will have your own FREE platform that no one can take from you, not even the Facebook banning police. I know we’ve all had our run in with those jerks. Here we go!

STEP ONE: Choosing a host website

A.C. GreenleeThere are many platforms that allow you to host your website with a custom domain name, which is what we’ll be using here so that you completely “own” your website. The host I think is the best and personally use is Tumblr.com. Tumblr is a blogging website that allows users to create their own blogs and seamlessly share content from millions of users all around the world. This both allows authors to find and interact with new and prospective fans while simultaneously keeping their blog or website fresh with new content. I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume you already have an email address. If not, I highly recommend Gmail for all your emailing needs. Grab your email and navigate to http://www.tumblr.com and create an account. Account creation is extremely simple. Simply enter your email address, password and select a username. I suggest creating a username that in some way correlates to what you’re trying to accomplish.  AuthorJenineHadwick is perfectly fine as apposed to PrincessPonyGlitterBootyShorts. I’m serious, tumblr usernames get pretty rediculous. Now, open up a new tab and get ready for step two.

STEP TWO: Acquiring a domain name

Head over to http://www.dot.tk/. This is your domain provider.A.C. Greenlee Website Creation Guide A domain provider, in a nutshell, is a computer network server where your website will be hosted 24 hours a day, seven days a week without disruption. Essentially, your personal computer, the one you’re using right now could act as a host for your website. With a few apps and minor HTML and coding knowledge, you really wouldn’t need a domain provider at all. Except for the fact that your computer isn’t turned on and connected to tA.C. Greenlee Website Guidehe internet all day every day and your internet connection probably wouldn’t have the strength to support all the people flocking to your website. Domain names usually range in price from $10 a month to over $100 a year for a .com domain. But, with the dot.tk website, you will be
provided with a .tk domain name completely free of charge. Yes, COMPLETELY free. The only catch is that you have to renew your domain name every year. But, for a free website, that doesn’t seem too daunting now does it? Head over to http://www.dot.tk and pick your domain name. Now, this will be the NAME of your website, the name through which users will find you. For example, my website is http://www.acgreenlee.com. I opted to pay for a .com domain name for personal reasons but, notice how simple the web address is. Your domain name could be anything from FamousAuthorHeather.tk to HankHillSellsPropane.tk. Just make sure it’s exactly what you want and something you won’t regret choosing later. After checking that your domain is available, proceed to the signup process.

Configuration:

  1. Select Use DNS.
  2. For the IP address slots, enter the IP from Tumblr (66.6.44.4) in both slots.
  3. Select 12 Months from the drop down menu.
  4. Enter the CAPTCHA.
  5. Complete registration.

Head back over to tumblr:

  1. Click Settings (the gear icon) at the top of your Dashboard.
  2. Click the blog you’d like to update on the right side of the page.
  3. Click the pencil to the right of the username section and enable “Use a custom domain.”
  4. Enter your domain (e.g. mywebsite.tk).
  5. Click “Test your domain.”
  6. Correct problems if the test finds any, and click “Test your domain” until the test is successful.
  7. Hit “Save.”

If you navigate to your username.tumblr.com blog and it tells you that theres a problem, don’t panic, this is a good thing! It means tumblr is pointing correctly to your domain name and all there’s left to do is wait until all the mechanical stuff updates iteslf. Now lets move onto step three, the fun part!

STEP THREE: Customization

The thing I love most about tumblr is how easily customized it is, even if you have no knowledge of coding. After you’ve beaten your website into shape and you have your AuthorsWebsite.tk website set up and tested, head back to tumblr and go Blog Settings and Edit Theme. You can choose from a million free (and paid if you’re about that life) themes to make your websiteScreen Shot 2015-08-28 at 11.04.09 PM look however you want. By uploading a header image and profile picture, most themes will give you an entirely personalized website at the push of a button. For even more personalization, hit Edit HTML in your blog editor and get ready for your first, simple HTML coding lesson. Head over to any free tumblr theme code site (we’re going with http://kawaiilayouts.com just because I love them) and copy one of their free theme codes. Head back over to the Edit HTML section of your tumblr editor, select the HTML that’s already there, hit paste, update preview and TADA. Completely new website with the click of a button.

With your new website you’ll be able to truly build an authors platform independent of any social media sites personal fate. And, in the case that something happens to tumblr, there are quite literally a million different alternatives to hosting, and your domain provider dot.tk even has its own page builder if you ever want to cut your ties to a host all together. You can have your cake and eat it to by using social media in conjuncture with your personal website, extending your reach and your influence exponentially. Make them work with each other and for each other! Now that you have the foundation laid out for you, what are you still doing here? Go! Go build a website!

Zodiac: Virgo exists in the mind, everything is inside. To the world, Virgo presents a calm and collected exterior, but on the inside, nervous uncontrolled energy resides. They are constantly trying to figure things out, how to improve everything; analyzing and thinking. Virgo can tire itself out without even moving! Virgo has a constant drive to improve and perfect, this can lead to extreme pickiness and finickiness. They are pure, their motives are honest, never malicious and they want to accomplish something.

General information: Since she was a small child, Victoria has always had problems with her sight, a fact which often left her ostracized by her siblings and classmates. A true daddy’s girl, her only friend and confidant growing up was her father Percy Bouchard, who doted on the girl, spending a good portion of his time making sure she felt right at home. During her teenage years, Mr. Bouchard was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, and spent the remainder of his life on earth in constant suffering. Victoria blamed herself. After her father’s death, she was sent to Harlan, Iowa to attend college at Viking Lake University, where she met and fell in love with Kaizer Dresden, a brilliant albeit lazy Grim Reaper. She knows his secret, to a certain extent, and he’s forever curious about the strange mental abilities she displays.

Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible, and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their minds to it.

Best strengths: Intellection, Learner, badass adorable, little miss badassbadass adorable.

Worst flaws: Cannot spit it out, Anti-Hero, Innocently Insensitive.

Ego flaw: Stubbornness.

Ambitions: To graduate at the top of her class and later, help find the psychopath who’s making sashimi out of all her friends and classmates.

Internal conflict: She seems composed on the outside, but inside she struggles with the potential to do great evil in the world instead of good.

External conflict: She’s self-deprecating when it comes to her love for Kaizer. She can’t help but believe that she isn’t good enough for him.

Biggest fear: Failing. Whether it’s in life or a board game. She can’t stand to lose. Being blind, losing her sight and being ineffectivethese are the fears that haunt Victoria Bouchard.

Bio: Victoria was born in Norfolk Virginia. As a child she always dreamed of attending Harvard, or generally any Ivy League school, but quickly realized that her dream would be far from possible with her parent’s limited income. Victoria was cursed with poor eyesight as well as seemingly limitless mental abilities. She soaks up information like a human sponge, processes data like a super computer and can sometimes even hear the thoughts of the people around her.

Main Cast List:
We’ll continue our list of characters tomorrow with Mr. Ezra Dresden, the Grim Reaper Führer himself. The epitome of a powerful ‘badass’ he’s quite literally every woman’s wet dream. I think you’ll enjoy him~! Until next time!

Dreaming about Vampires?

For all the people who read this blog, follow me on Facebook, Tumblr or even twitter, it’s no secret that I’ve been working on very darkly themed stories for the past month or so. I’ve even put my Drama Legally Yours on hold, as well as a slew of other asian themed fic’s which are most definitely my forté. For those of you who’ve followed this blog from the beginning or know me personally you might remember a short story I wrote last year about Sonneillon the Demon of Hatred. Well he’s back in my head and haunting me to the extreme as I pen his very own novella. His story needs to be told and he’s taken to not letting me sleep should I go too long without writing about him. Anyway, today has been one of those classically rainy October days on which I was supposed to go out with this guy who never showed up, I’ll save that for another blog post, and after waiting hours for this no show I end up falling asleep and having the most horrifying yet wickedly awesome dream ever. About vampires no less.

In this dream I’m a little girl again, maybe nine or ten years old, who’s distraught at the recent loss of her father. And on top of her fathers death her mother has gone missing as well, leaving her in the clutches of an evil grandmother who locks her away and wants nothing to do with her. (Fun Fact: The entire dream the little girl is dressed in this dirty white nightgown and holding onto a one eyed stuffed animal.) Well anyway, time passes and mommy eventually returns to her, showing up in the middle of the night to save her from her tyrannical mother. Sounds all well and good right? Well mommy forgot to mention that she was now a member of the walking undead thanks to her new spooky yet super sexy vampire boyfriend.                                                                                    And you thought YOU had a weird childhood.

Anyway, mommy and vampire step daddy want children but obviously can’t have them on their own so they choose me to be their little vamp baby doll and, I’m a child who just wants to be loved, I obviously don’t care how it has to happen so long as it does. I end up agreeing and ‘daddy’ bites me. Now here’s the scary part as in my opinion, vampires aren’t scary worth a damn and haven’t been since Nosferatu. Instead of just going to sleep and waking up a vampire, or changing immediately into one of the undead, my entire body has to literally die before I can be reborn as a creature of the night. I mean my entire body. My teeth start to fall out which they make me save in a wooden box as well as clumps of my hair that falls out by the hand full and only after every inch of me dies do I wake up this beautiful semi demonic entity who will never age.

This dream goes on and on as they go through the first kill of their new vampire child and their life together as a family but I don’t really need to detail that. The point I’m trying to make is; It’s October. The month of cheap scares and expensive halloween candy. It’s also the perfect month to write horror which is probably why I’m having dreams like this in the first place. Or, maybe I can place that blame on Sonneillon who, even now is calling me back to his unfinished manuscript so that he can finish inflicting terror in that oh so special way he does.

Episode Two: Deal

It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Park.” His lips quirked into a smile that was borderline obscene as his hand extended in my direction. As if I actually wanted to touch the bastard. Could it have been that in my slightly hungover state I was imagining things? Could he just be some sort of apparition my brain had concocted to torment me for my bad behavior the night before? No, it couldn’t be. After all Yoona and Jung Keun Sunbaenim could see him too. I stood there, rooted in place, entirely too shocked to move a single muscle. Lee Junho’s eyes stayed locked on mine, seemingly shining with a dark light I knew was caused by some deal he’d made with the devil. I couldn’t believe my rotten luck. What had I done in my lifetime to deserve this?!

“Miss Park?” My Sunbaenim called, snapping me out of my thoughts and sending me hurdling back into reality.

“I’m sorry, you must forgive me but you look a great deal like someone I used to know.” I smiled as politely as possible, reaching out to shake his hand. The bastard’s smile only broadened as his grip tightened for a split second before he released me.

“That’s alright. Besides, you never know. Perhaps we met each other in another life.” Another life my ass.

“Right.” I replied numbly and he gave me a look that had my skin crawling. Jung Keun cleared his throat beside me.

“Park Yeun Seuk is my assistant, she will be assisting in the trial today.” He told him and Junho’s eyes left mine for the first time, travelling over to my boss as another smirk curled his lips.

“Is that so? I wonder what happened to your last assistant. She was certainly…pleasant to be around.” He said and I watched my boss’ eyes narrow slightly before he gave Junho a professionally crafted smile.

“Yes she was.” He took a breath before pulling back his sleeve to glance at his watch. “Well, now that the introductions are out of the way, shall we get on with this meeting Mr. Lee?” Sunbae asked and I had a feeling I was about to watch a gladiator take on a lion.

“Of course. I’d like to talk about the upcoming trial of Mrs. Kim.” Junho, who I refused to call Sunbae, said as he stepped further into the room, his eyes flicking from mine to Jung Keun’s.

“Ah, Mrs. Kim. You’re here to make a plea bargain I presume.” Sunbaenim said as he stuffed his hands into the pockets of his trousers. Junho seemed to take offense to that statement.

“Not even close. This meeting is in regards to the recent evidence you’ve submitted to the court record. Legally I’m allowed to review it before the preliminary hearing, correct?” He asked and Jang Keun cocked a brow.

“Under normal circumstances, yes, but charges haven’t been filed against Mrs. Kim as of yet.”

“But you’ve filed a complaint which means I have the right—!”

“Yes, a complaint has been filed but Mrs. Kim has not been brought up on charges. If you’d like for me to bring her up on something I’m sure I could push the paperwork for you.” Junho’s mouth closed with an audible snap. He obviously didn’t like the direction the conversation was headed. Both men appeared so calm and collected yet the heat of their passionate words continued to rise until I was afraid they’d set off the office sprinklers.

“What you’re doing is underhanded and you know it Choi.”

“Are you implying that I’m dishonest Mr. Lee?” There was laughter in my boss’ voice. You go Sunbaenim! Show him whose boss around here! Junho’s lips quirked into an unpleasant smile at that moment and I felt chills run down my spine. What could that bastard be planning?

“Mr. Choi! You have a female visitor downstairs, she claims that she’s from the district office.” Yoona chose that moment to step back into the office, her features pinched as she worried her bottom lip. Sunbae tossed me a strained look before turning a glare on Junho.

“If you’ll both excuse me.” He said before quickly exiting the office and leaving me alone with Satan.

The moment the door closed behind them I found myself panicking. They’d left me alone with the asshole of century who wasted no time in transforming himself into a blood thirsty predator. He didn’t hesitate to turn that venomous smile of his on me and I felt my stomach instantly begin to flutter. But whether from fear or something else entirely I couldn’t tell.

“I was worried something might go wrong today. Imagine my surprise when I found you here.” He spoke so suddenly my heart jumped in my chest. Leaning a hip against the desk I folded my arms over my chest and leveled a potent glare on him.

“And what’s that supposed to mean?” His smile took chunks out of my soul. His hands slipped into his pockets as he angled his body towards mine. I could see his mind shift gears through his eyes. He was up to something but what I couldn’t tell.

“That’s easy. You’re my ace in the hole. My trump card. You’re the one person who can assure my victory over that pompous asshole.” He chuckled, advancing until he came to stand directly in front of me, my frown reflecting in his deep brown eyes. “You’re going to do exactly as I say.” His hands reappeared to settle on my hips and I instantly began pushing him away.

“Like hell I will!” I struggled but the bastard was a lot stronger than he looked. His lips captured mine and suddenly my battle turned inward. I couldn’t stop my body from responding to his; to the heat of his body as he spread my legs and settled between them or the nip of his teeth at my bottom lip. The moment he’d touched me I was a goner, an inferno of lust bursting to life inside of me. I was weak as I meekly clutched at his shoulders, wanting simultaneously to pull him closer and push him away. I didn’t understand why my body simply burned the way it did. How did he have this much power over me? It was when I felt his nimble fingers tugging at the buttons of my suit jacket did I finally wake up and shove him off of me. Junho went willingly, taking a couple steps back as he chuckled.

“I think I’ll have to pick up drunk American’s more often, you’re going to prove quite useful.” He smirked, slipping a sleek black phone out of his pocket and casually going through it while my life fell apart in my hands. I straightened myself, tugging my jacket back into place as I leveled a glare on him. My hands were shaking from his attack, my knees threatening to buckle at any moment. “And to think I would have had to resort to stealing.”

“As if you’re so far above it.” I bit out and his eyes lifted to catch mine.

“You’re right. I’m not. But if I can help it I’d rather my hands stayed clean. Now, the court record, give it to me.”

“Are you insane? Why the hell would I do that?” I scoffed and moved towards the door, fully intent on telling my Sunbae what a treacherous dog Junho really was, but before I could move an inch I was in his hands. Junho spun me around, forcing me onto the desk, the wooden ledge biting into my stomach as my nails skittered uselessly across the polished surface. He laid himself over me, pinning me there with his superior weight. I could feel his cock hardening against my backside, straining against the zipper of his slacks. The heat of his body alone managed to turn me on while at the same time I only wanted to murder him. How dare he take advantage of me like this?! “Smile and say cheese.” He brought his phone up and before I realized what was going on the flash of the camera was blinding me.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?!” I struggled and he turned the phone so I could look at the candid picture he’d just taken of us. My hair was disheveled and my face was twisted into an expression of lust mixed with utter despair.

“Just adding to my photo album. You see, I have a bunch of really great pictures of you and I together.” He used his thumb to swipe through an album of photographs that were borderline pornographic. And I was in every single one of them. I felt my chest constrict as I finally realized what he was planning.

“You’re going to blackmail me if I don’t give you the record aren’t you?” I asked, tears stinging my eyes as a sob lodged itself in my throat. Junho pulled away from me then, his hand taking mine as he pulled me off the desk.

“It doesn’t have to be that way. You could always give it to me willingly.” He said, his voice surprisingly tender as he wiped my tears away. He was giving me a way out, a chance to save myself. But to help him would mean going against my Sunbae who I owed everything to. I was completely at a loss for what to do. How was I going to get myself out of this situation? “Think about it, Choi is a prominent figure in the prosecuting world. If these pictures of his new assistant were leaked onto the internet…”

“No!” I jumped, scrambling to snatch the phone out of his hands but he quickly pulled it out of reach. That sort of scandal wouldn’t just ruin me but Sunbaenim as well! The man lived for his job, to loose it would be devastating!

“Then, the record please?” The evil, sadistic bastard had the nerve to smile down at me a if he hadn’t just threatened to utterly destroy two people. My chest rose and fell rapidly as emotions clashed inside of me. I remember Sunbae briefly telling me the day before about the upcoming charges against Mrs. Kim and how he’d discovered enough evidence that would put her behind bars for a very long time.  All that valuable evidence was in the updated version of the court record, which only Sunbaenim and I had access to. If Junho somehow got ahold of it the entire case could be blown. Mrs. Kim was a despicable woman who’d defrauded multiple non-profit organizations over the years; she more than deserved to pay for her crimes. But was trying to win this case worth ruining both our careers? The answer was simple.

“I don’t know what motivates you to be this cruel, but I hope its well worth all the damage you’ve caused.” I said and he gasped under his breath. Apparently I’d stricken a nerve. I turned and skirted the desk so I could open Jung Keun’s briefcase and pull out the documents. Moving back to his side I shoved them against his chest, a glare tightening my features. He didn’t move for a few seconds, his eyes distant as he finally tightened his grip around the papers.

“I’ll tell you what, how about I strike you a deal?” He asked suddenly as he folded the papers and tucked them into the inside breast pocket of his jacket. “As long as you do exactly as I say, I’ll keep these photographs between us alright? Deal?” He asked and I folded my arms over my chest in defiance.

“And if I refuse?”

“By Monday morning they’ll be uploaded to every social networking site the world over. They’ll be so hot issue that the president of the United States will have seen them and will know that Lee Junho is sleeping with Choi Jung Keun’s hot paralegal.” He stated simply and I once again felt my heart sink into the pit of my stomach. He was such a rotten bastard. I hated him, loathed him even and I couldn’t wait until Karma came back around to kick him in his ass. “Do we have a deal?” He asked again, extending his hand for me to take. I glared at him for a full two minutes before slipping my hand into his.

“Deal.” I said and instantly regretted it. Junho tugged me into his arms and kissed me hard enough that I knew my lips would be bruised when he pulled away. His fingers idly traced the love bites on my neck that marked me as his and I felt sick.

“You won’t regret making that decision.” He whispered against my open mouth before stepping back and giving his jacket a sharp tug.

“I’m already regretting it.” I griped and he grinned.

“Regretting what?” My Sunbaenim chose that moment to walk back into the office with a sour looking Yoona at his side. He frowned the moment he saw me, taking in my disheveled state. I looked like I’d just walked backwards through a battlefield, my eyes were puffy and red from the tears I’d shed and my hair had fallen out of its bun to cascade around my shoulders. He knew instinctively that something had happened but he refused to comment on it in front of Junho. For that I was thankful.

“I regret…not being on time to work today.” I lied, something that would quickly become a habit now that I was in cahoots with Mr. Lee. I felt ill just thinking about it.

“Well, I see that you’re pretty busy Choi, we can finish our conversation at the Federal Courts this afternoon.” Junho said before turning to give me a smirk, “It was a pleasure meeting you, Miss Park Yeun Seuk.” He winked and moved to saunter out of the room. Yoona bowed deeply before running to show him out of the building. I was silent as the door closed behind them. My Sunbaenim shoved a hand into the pocket of his slacks as he moved towards me. I couldn’t even lift my head to look at him. I half expected him to rave at me, even if he wasn’t sure what I’d done wrong. I was surprised out of my skull when he simply placed a hand atop my head in a comforting manner.

“He’ll pay for whatever he said or did to you.” He said simply and I felt my eyes once again fill with tears. I was such a horrible person.

G-Dragon Fanfiction: When you just want to be left alone…

Bias: G-Dragon

Genre: Romance/Fluff/ A little angst in the beginning.

Part One

The sound of the rain pounding against my window made me shake. The clock on the nightstand next to me struck twelve. Midnight. My birthday was officially over, not that I could complain. I’d spent the day curled up in bed with a bottle of Soju and a container of cherry ice cream that I’d spilled on the sheets. I’d wash them in the morning, right now I just wanted to relish this feeling. This feeling of solitude. This feeling of being completely and entirely alone. Without everyone reminding me that I was yet another year older, another year wiser, and another year closer to death. I could do without the gifts, the parties and the cake. I could do without the painfully awkward phone calls from family members I hadn’t spoken to since my ninth birthday. I just wanted the chance to quietly reflect without everyone in my life breathing down my neck, without the fucking noise that people make, even when they aren’t speaking. I wanted the world to stop, and for twelve hours it had as I lay alone in my bed, my cellphone blissfully turned off and the landline unplugged and stuffed in a drawer. The only sounds that infiltrated my safe, silent little bubble were that of the television, the knocking of the radiator as it heated my apartment, my own breathing…and now the rain. The television had long since been turned off, leaving me alone in the darkness, the only light I could see being that of the crescent moon and the brightly lit apartment building across the street. I watched my legs move fitfully beneath the blankets, knocking the empty bottle of Soju from the bed, listening as it hit the floor hard and rolled under the bed. When had I become this pathetic? When had my life turned from that of a carefree teenager to an adult with her own responsibilities, trials and tribulations? I wanted to be that little girl again. I wanted the option of running home to my father and letting him protect me from the world. But my parents where at home in America. And I was in Korea…Alone. Would it always be like this? I couldn’t help but wonder if this was what my life was meant to be, that I would spend the rest of my life working a shitty job, making paycheck after paycheck just so I can survive. Would I actually ever live? Or was I doomed to spend the remainder of my days alone, in this house, in my heart and in my head? Just when the tears threatened to fall the hollow sound of someone knocking on the front door echoed through the apartment. It was a lonely sound, almost as lonely as I secretly felt. Frowning I cut my eyes to the clock on the nightstand. 12:15. Who in the hell could that be? I threw the covers back and climbed to my feet, my body stiff from being in the same position all day. I made my way through the abandoned apartment not bothering to turn on a single light. The dark, gloomy atmosphere matched my mood perfectly, who was I to disrupt it? Wiping my sweat slicked palms off on my pajama pants I undid the locks quickly and reached for the doorknob. Pulling the door open I frowned at who I found standing there. Kwon Jiyong. He was dressed entirely in black, which was unusual for him. The man liked bright colors; he liked drawing attention to himself. He craved the spotlight like the Leo he was. And it followed him religiously. Wherever he went he couldn’t help but shine. Silver studs accentuated the leather jacket he wore, accompanied by the studded belt that hung low on his hips. His hair was once again covered by a beanie but this time, of what I could see from the gently curling tendrils that lay against his forehead, it was dyed bright pink. He was standing there, his arms braced on either side of the doorframe, with a bottle of 1966 Dom Perignon champagne in one hand and a pint of Grey Goose vodka in the other.

“We can keep it classy, or we can get fucked up and makeout. Your pick.” He motioned to each of the bottles in turn and I just blinked at him. I hadn’t laid eyes on this man since he’d broken up with his girlfriend **** and shown up on my doorstop a little over a month ago. He’d kissed me…I remembered it with stunning clarity, his lips as they crashed against mine, the feeling of his fingers digging hard into soft, untouched skin. I could feel the speed of my breathing picking up as I continued to stare at him. Ji just cocked a brow at me in question and I suddenly returned to life. Reaching out without hesitation I grabbed the bottle of Grey Goose, uncapped it and took a hearty swig. The vodka burned a path down my throat and into the pit of my stomach, heating me from the inside out. Ji smirked as he made his way inside, shutting the door behind him. “What are you doing?” He asked and I frowned.

“Getting drunk?”

“No, I mean what are you doing sitting here all by yourself? On your birthday? Why haven’t you answered my calls or emails? I text you fifty times. I even called your mother.” He advanced on me and like a savage lion pursuing a mouse and I ran from him, retreating until my back was firmly against the wall. He looked so feral, not necessarily angry but worried, hurt, and above all else hungry.

“I just wanted to be alone.”

“Yah. Who said you’re allowed to be alone?” He braced one arm next to my head as he leaned towards me, his breath fanning my face. He’d already been drinking; I could smell it on his breath and on his clothes. It was a familiar smell, one that made my entire body ache in anticipation. Was he going to kiss me again? Please god let the answer be yes.

“I’m an adult Ji, It’s not like I need supervision or anything.” I responded with defiance, which he took as a challenge. He was so close now that I could smell his sweet, freshly shaven skin. The slight scent of his aftershave invaded my brain until I swear I was drunk with it. Or maybe it was the vodka I’d just consumed…It didn’t fucking matter! G-Dragon was standing in my apartment, close enough to touch, his lips inches from mine as he casually trailed a hand down my arm until it wrapped around the neck of the bottle I held. He lifted it to his lips and took a swig before grabbing my chin and tilting my head back. His lips covered mine and I could taste the burn of the alcohol as it coated his tongue and slid down his throat. My knees were weak. I was going to pass out from over stimulation at any second. I heard the bottle of Dom Perignon hit the end table next to us and as if he’d heard my thoughts he wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me flush against him. He tipped the Grey Goose bottle to my lips, the liquor filling my mouth and pouring down the sides of my face as I took as much as I could. And then the near empty bottle was joining the other on the end table. My body tangled with his as he pulled me over to the couch, falling backwards and roughly pulling me on top of him. I could feel him, every hard inch of his toned leather clad body as it pressed against me. Every single touch felt intimate, erotic, His fingertips gently brushed my lower back as my shirt rode up around my midsection and the skin exposed itself. His mouth was hot against mine; his lips tender as they teased mine which were bruised from his kisses. I felt as if I were drowning, and whether it was the effects of the alcohol or Ji himself I couldn’t tell. I pulled away from his heated kisses as I struggled to catch my breath. Was I dying? My name fell from his lips in the form of a sensual whisper and he rolled until I was cushioned comfortably between him in the back of the couch.
“Happy birthday.” He breathed against my forehead as he held me close, tucking me under his chin. I felt…oddly protected. I felt cherished…loved. I blinked away the tears that suddenly filled my eyes and clouded my vision. Maybe what I needed on this dreadful day wasn’t to be alone. Maybe all along, I just needed someone to remind me that I wasn’t in this by myself…Maybe I just needed Ji.

“Jiyong oppa.” I called, my voice weak and tear filled. I felt him smirk at the title.

“Ne toggi?” He answered and I couldn’t help but chuckle at the new nickname.

“Thank you for being here. Thank you for coming to my rescue right when I needed you the most.” Ji shifted against me, pressing his lips against mine once again.

“You were there for me so I’ll always be there for you.”
